The fifth song on the album is“ Sons of Avalon”, with which we return to power metal. Such as fast verses as its riffs, keyboards more present, impossible to resist the desire to headbanging.
The next theme is“ I Will Rule the Universe”. A funny anecdote about this song, was the comment made by Nils via Facebook a few weeks ago, he commented that he had written this song while he was into the bathroom; well the only thing I can say about this is...“ Holy shit”, it’ s great what he can write sitting on the“ throne” of his home.
This song talks about the emperor Napoleon, how strong and invincible he could think he was, his life and his defeat, very good way to learn a bit of history in this way, so sad that these songs didn’ t exist when I had to learn French history, a very good song and a remarkable guitar playing.
The theme seven of album“ Lucifer’ s Court” makes reference to two books written by the German Otto Rahn“ Crusade against the Grail” and“ Lucifer’ s Court”. He was also a member of the Nazi party during the“ German Reich”, and died on top of the“ Wilden Kaiser”. A very interesting topic in a classic metal style, telling the story of this enigmatic character, highly recommended for those who like reading these issues.
“ Brother Judas” is the eighth song on the album and one of my favourites, Nils voice is impeccable as well as the superb chorus that are an essential part during the song, and blend in harmony with the Nils voice and what to say about the harmonious chord guitar that has this song, just magnificent.
The next one is a power metal song,“ My Own Worst Enemy”, guitars and keyboards with quick notes, as well as the drums and the verses of the melody, headbanging guaranteed.
“ Gettysburg” is the tenth track on the album, a tribute to the soldiers of“ Gettysburg’ s battle” a beautiful melody, great chords to expose the beautiful and impressive voice of his great singer.
