“ One of our favorite parts of our story is how we met . We were both active in Roc City Roller Derby , he as a Non-Skating Official and I as a fledgling skater , trying to make my way through this amazing sport . We fell in love , helped run parts of the league for a bit , and then got married . It ’ s been a wild ride and we love all the amazing people we met through it !” Justine and Barry didn ’ t hire a wedding planner for their shindig . “ We appreciate everyone in the industry , but we ended up handling it ourselves .” S & S Limo provided the transportation and DJ Corey James , a good friend of Justine ’ s to help out with the music ! Justine ’ s wedding dress was purchased from Blushing Bride in Brockport , and the tuxes were from Men ' s Wearhouse ( Victor , NY ). They hired a good friend , Karinne Popple to do her hair and makeup . “ She did an absolutely AMAZING job !” Their rehearsal dinner was held at Scotland Yard Pub , where Justine is a bartender . Their ceremony and reception were held at The Rabbit Room at the Lower Mill . “ We were so excited to use Stacy K Floral !” says Justine . “ Amazing results and we loved all of our flower and arrangements for the day .” They got Justine ’ s engagement ring from Littman Jewelers because she wanted a black diamond in her ring , and then picked out their wedding bands at Mann ' s Jewelers ! Their save the dates were purchased through CatPrint in Rochester , and then purchased their invites through Etsy and printed through CatPrint . Their favors were a few of their favorite things . Justine loves fall and pumpkins , so they picked up some mini gourds from a local farmer at the Rochester Public Market , and then did matchbooks and a small candy bar for people to snack on after the reception . What was their favorite part of the wedding planning process ? “ Honestly , all of it ,” said Justine . “ We had a pretty good idea of what we wanted when we started , which made the plans a lot easier to execute because we knew what we were looking for . It was a lot of fun to see it all come together !” Their words of wisdom for future brides and grooms ; “ Do what is best for you and your spouse . It ’ s your big day , so make sure you ’ re happy with what you ’ ve got planned for the day . Oh , and don ’ t skimp on Photography and Videography ! You ’ ll want to remember your day with their help !”
