Capone was an immigrant from New York who quit school after the sixth grade. He joined a notorious street gang and became an influential lieutenant in the Colosimo mob. When Capone eventually became leader, rival gangs were eliminated and his reputation continued to grow. His gang was called the Capone mob, while he would be in other places, such as Palm Beach, Florida, when they would have their massacres or act out.
The FBI started thier investigation on Capone because he failed to appear in front of the federal grand jury in response to subpoena. His lawyers filed for postponement of his appearance for having pneumonia. His reappearance date was set as they accepted the postponement papers.
Later Capone showed in court and was arrested afterwards with a $5,000 bail set. He paid off his bail and was back on the streets. He was arrested once again and later released for good behavior through the first nine months. His next arrest was when he pled guilty to tax evasion. HIs last arrest came later on in the past decade and was sentenced to eleven years. This was his most famous arrest. He served this sentence in Atlanta as well as the famous Alcatraz.
He now remains in Alcatraz while he is due to get out in 1939. His family awaits fro him in their Palm Beach home in Florida.
