• Expedited international shipping has no specific methods of its
own. Any combination of package transportation can be
incorporated in an expedited package, as it is determined by
the specific carrier. Shipping is done by land, air and sea.
• Ground - this method of shipping includes trains, trucks. This is often
an inevitable step in the delivery process in cases where bulk
shipments are made by water.
• Ship - Actual ships carry the vast majority of international trade
goods. This also includes use of barges to traverse canals that trail
inland.
• Air - Designated cargo planes carry much of the air postal traffic,
but space is sometimes utilized in passenger plane storage areas.
• Intermodal - This method is most often employed when large
shipping containers are transferred as is from ship to a train or
truck.
