RMI and Whittaker Mountaineering Gear Guides Rainier Five Day Summit Climb | Página 2

Dear Climber,\r\nWelcome to Mt. Rainier! The five day climb ascends the mountain\'s classic route while providing additional time on the mountain to train, rest, and acclimatize. We look forward to climbing with you! \r\n\r\nClimbers know that efficiency is key to enjoying adventures in the mountains. This is true both for movement and for equipment. In addition to all of the training you are doing, part of the preparation for your climb is making sure that you have the proper gear. The right equipment choices provide an added degree of comfort and safety, allowing you to focus on the climb and enjoy the experience.\r\nWe know you have many choices when it comes to outdoor products. And because we also know that navigating all the options can be overwhelming, we created this Gear Guide to help simplify the outfitting process. On the following pages we share our philosophy, tips and advice, and specific functions and features of each equipment item listed for the RMI Five Day Summit Climb. We also identify the products that we believe are the “best in class” and ideal for climbing Rainier. \r\nGuiding climbers on Mt. Rainier since 1969 has given us a pretty good idea about what works and what doesn’t up on the mountain. As your guides, we commit to helping you prepare before the trip just as much as we commit to professional –quality guiding once your climb begins.\r\nWe are excited to have you join us! \r\nSee you on the mountain soon!\r\nPeter Whittaker\r\nCo-Owner of RMI Expeditions and \r\nWhittaker Mountaineering\r\n
