You Need

Here are the answers to some of the most commonly asked questions about the RMB Buffalo Regatta .
What are the entrance requirements ?
• R20.00 gate entry fee will be charged daily to all spectators .
• All persons are required to sign-in at the entrance , where your temperature will be taken daily .
• Any person displaying flu-like symptoms or who has COVID may not enter the ELBA premises , and will be expected to selfisolate , as per government regulations .
• All persons entering the ELBA premises ( including officials , helpers , participants , coaches , staff and spectators ) must wear a wristband confirming that they have registered at the entrance and have been screened on the day .
• Entrance fees must be paid on the day of entry and cannot be paid in advance as the issuing of wristbands ensures daily screening and register completion .
• Once inside the ELBA premises , all persons are expected to adhere to Government Regulations applicable at the time of the event , such as wearing of face masks and adhering to social distancing .
• A Health , Safety and COVID officer will be on-site to monitor compliance .
Will there be a shuttle service between parking and the event venue ? The shuttle service will run free of charge from 06h00 to 18h00 from the Latimers Landing and East Bank side . The wait should be no more than 15 minutes , as two shuttles will be available all day .
Where can we access regatta results ? Results will be available on https :// regattaresults . co . za .
Where do go if we have race enquiries ? Please find race officials and timekeepers in the
Regatta Control building , but note this area is strictly off-limits to the public , and coaches are asked to submit all race queries .
Will there be credit card facilities available ? There will be credit card facilities available onsite , but there will be no ATM facility for cash withdrawals on-site .
Will the event be live streamed ? The live stream will be available on Friday and Saturday during the event – please follow the Buffalo Regatta hosted by ELBA page ( www . facebook . com / buffaloregatta ) for more information closer to the event .
Will the event be filmed ? Filming will be taking place over the three days , so please always accommodate the film crews , particularly if you are asked to be interviewed . We do a Supersport production every year , with most of this filming done on Thursday 10 February , which is also the reason we don ’ t have live streaming on that day .
Will there be photographers taking pictures during the regatta ? Professional photographers will be on-site throughout the event – please follow the Buffalo Regatta hosted by ELBA page ( www . facebook . com / buffaloregatta ) for more information closer to the event .
Where can we buy food during the event ? The Buffalo Café will be open daily during the event for all individual meals for spectators and participants . Clubs and schools are encouraged to make use of our pre-ordering option , using our Google Form : https :// forms . gle / MH6AYSddUfMe5wLG8 ( see page 24 of this guide ).
Can we buy official Buffalo Regatta clothing and merchandise ? Buffalo Regatta Clothing & Merchandise will be available for sale at the event , and you will find our pop-up shop in the main clubhouse . Alternatively , a clothing pre-order form is available on page 26 of this guide .
Where should our club / team set up at the venue ? Schools and clubs can secure space at the venue on a first come , first serve basis . We ask everyone to please respect the allocated space areas , as this has been offered based on number of supporters in previous years and is paid for .
Will there be bar facilities at the venue ? The Leander Bar will be open during the event , but no-one will be allowed to remain ( gather ) in the bar area . All persons will be asked to enjoy their beverages in the open-air area located on the roof of the club .
Will snacks and cold drinks be on sale at the event ? The Tuckshop Bay will be located downstairs for snacks , sweets , cold drinks and water .
Will there be sports drinks available at the event ? Endurade Sport from NutriTech will be providing a hydration station for all participants during the event .
Will there be emergency medical facilities on-site at the event ? In the event of an injury or accident , emergency medical services will be provided on-site in the form of a Red Alert ambulance and medics located near the Tuckshop .
