"I owe you a champions league final and i won't fail you" Cristiano ronaldo, may 2012

Unlike in La Liga, Real Madrid has been very consistent and rather impressive throughout this start of the Champions League. It all began in Istanbul that seemed more like heaven than hell. Isco gave Real Madrid the 1-0 and Diego Lopez with an impressive save denied the Turkish the equalizer. After that save, the 2-0 came and an avalanche of goals which gave Real Madrid a comfortable 1-6 victory. It was specially a great game for the men up front. Benzema, mister Champions, score two and assisted once, Cristiano scored three and assisted one, Di Maria provided two assists and Isco one goal. Real Madrid was off to a fantastic start.

Against Copenhagen Di Maria took the lead and showed off at the Bernabeu. The team collectively shot on goal 7 times, 5 less times than in Istanbul but managed to find the back of the net 4 times. Iker Casillas stopped all 5 shots that went on target and Marcelo and Cristiano shined also. In the end it seemed as if the Danish came all the way to the Bernabeu four-nothing. Or maybe they did!

The latest game Real Madrid played was undoubtedly the toughest. A very close match-up as expected between the legendary Italian team Juventus and Real Madrid. Cristiano Ronaldo with a brace in the first half allowed for Real Madrid to keep the three points at home despite the valiant effort by the Italians, who played almost a full half with one less man. The Italians, hungry for revenge, will welcome us on November 5th.
