Zidane's Real Madrid Castilla

by RMCastillaCF

After being relegated to Segunda B, there was a lot of speculation as to who would coach Real Madrid Casilla. It was rumored that Ramis would take over after his fantastic season with Juvenil A; reaching the semifinal in the Youth Champions League, second place in Copa del Rey and La Liga champion. In the end, surprising many, the chosen one was Zinedine Zidane, who was rumored to coach Juventus, Marsella or even the French national team.

Many players from last season have left; Lucas Vasquez, Casado, Jose Rodriguez, Willian, Omar Mascarell, Quini, Borja Garcia and now Pacheco who is officially Real Madrid's third goalkeeper. On the other hand, Real Madrid has signed Finland's Eero Markkanen and Brazil's promising left back Abner. Furthermore Marcos Llorente, Alvaro Medran, Diego Caballo, Dani Suarez and Fran have been promoted to Castilla and we will very likely see Juanjo Narvaez, Aleix Febas and Enzo Zidane follow their footsteps soon.

What can we expect from these kids? I think big things. Despite having lost the last two friendlies 4-1 and seeing that there is a lot of work in defense to be hone, the team has shown at times that they have a good touch, intensity and a lot of talent. Yes, the season is around the corner but I trust that Zidane will show why Ancelotti chose him as his assistant and why Florentino Perez trusted him to bring back Castilla where it deserves to be.

The starting XI that I would like to see:

Yánez

Fran, Diego Llorente, Derik, Abner

Marcos Llorente, Medran

Belima, Cristian Benavente, Burgui

Eero Markkannen
