Diego Lopez started his Real Madrid career at 19 years old, in our C team. In 5 years he had already been promoted to the first team where he played twice in official games. He had a fantastic 6 years at Villareal and Sevilla where his amazing performances earned him a call back by Jose Mourinho. He became Real Madrid's first choice goalkeeper for Jose Mourinho and Carlo Ancelotti despite the controversy and bad reputation the media tried to build up. Despite everything, Diego never spoke badly of anyone and worked hard, in fact, he never missed a single volunteer training session. As Vecchi said, Diego's agility is amazing despite his height.

Now Diego is off to Milan and left us a loving message. "Every minute I played for Real Madrid was a gift sent form heaven".

Thanks for your professionalism, hardwork and love. Go conquer Milan!
