jaunt through the largely traffic-free highways and byways of rural Surrey and Sussex . They were warmly welcomed by numerous local residents who savoured the spectacle running past their doors .

This took crews on a leisurely drive through the Surrey Hills Area of Outstanding Beauty and the picturesque Mole Valley , towards a leisurely lunch stop at Gildings Barns near Newdigate .
Suitably fortified by their pit-stop , participants savoured a gentle return run through the villages of Charlwood , Irons Bottom , Leigh and Brockham back to Woodcote Park for afternoon tea , an informal concours , and prize-giving in the glorious grounds . Plaudits for the day went to Hugo and George
Medd-Tacon , for their sterling work in the Scavenger Hunt and Croquet Challenge , while the Best in Show , awarded by event partners Lockton and RM Sotheby ’ s , was presented to the wonderful ‘ Delphine ,’ a 1903 De Dion Bouton owned by Paul and Lucinda James .
The Chairman ’ s Choice , selected and presented by Duncan Wiltshire , was awarded to Robert Vincent , whose Summer Run was far from straightforward .
