With its two speed planetary transmission , easy tiller steering , solid front and live rearaxle and single longitudinal leaf springs on each side this is a powerful easy to run veteran which keeps up speeds of between 20 and 30 miles per hour . Uniquely this 120 year old veteran only had 8 owners including ourselves and was sold new in Pasadena California . It comes with a 1988 Pennsylvania Certificate of Title number 40671344801CA . Between 1956 and 1986 it belonged to the well-known William Harrah collection in Reno / Nevada . It is also a 1994 Guinness World Record holder as the

The 5hp Northerns were made from 1902 to 1903 followed by the 6 1 / 2 hp model in 1904 . This cars ’ 1902 year of manufacture was authenticated by Notary in the USA but dated 1903 by the dating committee of the Veteran Car Club of Great Britain ( ref no 720 / 95 ). The company was formed by Charles B King and Jonathan D Maxwell in Detroit in 1902 . King built Detroits ’ first successful gasoline engine in 1896 . Both he and Maxwell
later built cars bearing their own names . The Northerns production ended in 1908 when mergers ultimately led to the
Studebaker marque . Price is £ 125000 imported UK .
