Welcome

Welcome to the spring issue of RM . As the warmer weather approaches , the ARMA office is buzzing with activity leading up to an exciting conference and event season that will take us up to the Christmas break and a well-earned rest for everyone .
This issue features one of our two winners of the Revenue Management Associate / Manager Award , Nikita Beresnev in the “ Who ’ s who of RM ” section . Congratulations to Nikita and Jason Rangel ( Novotel Sydney Central ) who both took out the first Revenue Management Award at this year ’ s HM Awards in Sydney at the Sydney Town Hall in September .
What an exciting event for industry , and ARMA was proud to be involved . Can ’ t wait for next year !
We also have some interesting articles from Martin Hadfield , Manager , Commercial Planning – QantasLink . Martin is a good friend of ARMA and we think Revenue Managers will appreciate his viewpoints .
We have begun our Revenue Management , Beginner – Intermediate training sessions and held the first one in Sydney on 30 September . It was a great session with excellent feedback from a range of industry professionals with the next one scheduled in Canberra on 20 October . Be sure to visit our website for updated details of a session nearest to you .
In addition , we are excited to bring our industry “ Checking in with RM ” event to Queensland this month . We will be in Brisbane at the Australian Institute of Management on 29 October and Bond University on the Gold Coast on 30 October .
ARMA is also honoured to be involved again this year with the Maximum Occupancy conference held in Sydney and Auckland in November . ARMA will facilitate a revenue management focused discussion panel with industry professionals at these events .
