I began my career as a bellboy in the 2000s, but in 3 months
time, I had training as a Night Auditor to better learn all
aspects of the work and to help conduct the business. After
a 2-year experience as a Night Auditor, I was promoted as
the Front Office Shift Supervisor in 2002. I held that
position for 2 years and eventually transferred to Rixos
Premium Belek, the very first 7-star hotel in Turkey. I
continued with my role as the Front Office Supervisor until
2006, later moving on to Front Office Assistant Manager in
2007 for 3 years, and then being promoted to Front Office
Manager at Rixos Al Nasr Tripoli in February 2010, which
was my first assignment overseas. During the Arab Spring
events, my colleagues and I did our best to minimize Rixos’
name at the time of the uprising in Libya. It was then when
I learned that running tourism operations was possible even
in the most challenging environments. I had to leave the
territory in May 2011, and was assigned to hold office in
Rixos Lares for 6 months. After this, I worked on the team
assigned to re-establish Rixos Al Nasr Tripoli; my 2nd term
adventure in Libya continued until March 2012. I was
selected as the “Manager of the Year” at the 10th
Annual ‘Let’s Get Together’ event at that time. I accepted
the prize from Chairman Fettah Tamince. Following this, I
attended the 2012 Summit of Arab League event held in
Baghdad, the capital of Iraq.
2000’li yılların başında Bellboy olarak başladığım görevime 3 ay sonra hem işi daha iyi öğrenmek hem de geceye
yardımcı olmak için Night Auditor yanında Training alarak
devam ettim. Yaklaşık 2 yıllık bir gece tecrübesinden sonra, 2002 yılında bu görevimden terfi edip gündüz Ön Büro
Vardiya Amirliği’ne başladım. Bu göreve 2 yıl ilk otelimde;
1 yıl boyunca da yeni açılan, Türkiye’nin literatürdeki ilk
7 yıldızlı oteli Rixos Premium Belek’te devam ettim. 2006
yılı Ön Büro Şefliği ve 2007 yılında atandığım Ön Büro
Müdür Yardımcılığı’na 3 yıl devam edip, Ön Büro Müdürü
olarak ilk yurtdışı görevime Rixos Al Nasr Tripoli’de 2010
Şubat ayında başladım. 1 yıl sonrasında yaşanan Arap Baharı olayları neticesinde, Rixos markasını Libya’da çalışma arkadaşlarımla birlikte mümkün olduğunca olaylardan
uzak tutarak ayakta tutmaya çalıştık. En zorlu ortamlarda
bile otelcilik yapılabileceğinin en güzel örneğini yaşayarak
öğrendiğim bu topraklardan, Mayıs 2011’de zorunlu olarak ayrılmak durumunda kaldım ve 6 ay süresince Rixos
Lares’de görevime devam ettim. Rixos Al Nasr Tripoli’nin
tekrar açılması için kurulan ekipte yeniden yerimi aldım
ve 2. dönem Libya maceram, 2012 yılı Mart ayına kadar
devam etti. Bu süre içerisinde yapılan 10. Yıl ‘Lets Get
Together’ organizasyonunda Yılın Yöneticisi seçildim ve
ödülümü Yönetim Kurulu Başkanımız Sayın Fettah Tamince’nin elinden aldım.

This is how and when I decided to commit my personal
contributions to the largest overseas organization of Rixos
Hotels Group. Over time, I had a unique opportunity to
welcome remarkable dignitaries. I would like to take this
opportunity to give my special thanks to Rixos Hotels once
again. Approximately 6 months after my post in Baghdad,
in 2012, I began to work as the Rooms Division Manager at
Rixos Sharm El Sheikh in Egypt. Now, I work as a Hotel
Manager in Rixos Seagate Sharm, Egypt.
Throughout my career, the Rixos Family has always
encouraged me to further my studies by sending me to a
professional development program called “Hospitality
Management’ at Cornell-Nanyang University in Singapore
in 2009, followed by Hospitality Advanced Certification
program at Ithaca Cornell University in New York in 2011.
I want to take this opportunity to give my thanks to my
seniors and colleagues and the Chairman of Board of
Directors that have always been there for me and supported
me.
Mart 2012’de Irak’ın başkenti Bağdat’ta yapılan Arap Birliği Zirvesi’ne katıldım ve Rixos Hotels olarak yapılan bu
en büyük yurt dışı organizasyonunun çorbasında tuzum
oldu. Şahsen çok değerli devlet başkanlarını karşılama imkanım oldu ve bu deneyimi bana yaşattığı için Rixos Hotels’e tekrar teşekkürlerimi sunarım. Yaklaşık 6 ay süren
Bağdat görevimden sonra, 2012’de Mısır’da açılan Rixos
Sharm El Sheikh’e Odalar Bölüm Müdürü olarak başladım.
Şu an ise yine Mısır’daki Rixos Seagate Sharm’da Hotel
Manager olarak görev yapıyorum.
