MEET THE STAFF

KATIE NELSON Katie Nelson has been working in the recreation field for over 10 years . Her work experience includes aquatics , special events and youth programming . Born and raised in the Western Suburbs , Katie graduated from Northern Illinois University with a Bachelor ' s in Marketing . Outside of work , Katie enjoys cheering on her favorite sports teams , participating in outdoor activities and spending time with family and friends . As the new Recreation Assistant , Katie is excited to get to know the community and learn how she can best serve Riverside .

Pillow Hockey
Non-stop action and an overflow of fun every Wednesday at Pillow Hockey ! This popular class will introduce the basic skills of hockey using padded sticks and a foam ball . The first part of the class will be instructional as the participants will develop their skills . The kids will put their skills to practice during games
played at the end of each class . Join the intensity !

Floor Hockey
Compete in the comfort of your own shoes and reap all the awesomeness of hockey with Riverside Recreation ’ s new Floor Hockey Class ! We welcome all skill levels . Class will begin with drills and instruction and conclude with scrimmage games . Wear

Fall Flag Football
Too young for the rough and tumble of tackle football , but still want to get into the game ? Flag Football will develop your knowledge and skill , and you will have fun doing it ! This program will cover all positions along with passing and receiving .
