G e nI NeF OrR MaATl I O N REGISTRATION OPTIONS The Riverside Parks & Recreation Department accepts registration by way of the following: ONLINE through Illinois E-Pay at www.riverside.il.us. (Visa/MasterCard/Discover) No added fees. Registration is not confirmed until you receive a receipt from the Riverside Parks and Recreation Department via email or through the mail. IN PERSON at RPRD located In the Historic Water Tower at 10 Pine Avenue. (Visa/MasterCard/Discover/Diner’s Club/Check) All checks will need to be made out to the Village of Riverside. We do not take registrations by phone or fax. COMMUNICATION At times, the RPRD will need to contact participants prior to, during or after a program. Please ensure that your cell phone, home phone and email address is updated and accurate at time of each and every registration. PROOF OF RESIDENCY Proof of Residency is required to secure resident rates. Registrants may be asked to provide photo identification and a current utility bill. NOTHING HURTS A GOOD PROGRAM MORE… …than late registrations. Please register early for all applicable programs. All programs are based on a minimum number of participants and may be cancelled if that minimum is not met 8 days before the class start date. PROGRAMS/FACILITIES The policies, procedures, requirements, programs, fees and facility availability contained in this brochure represent the Department’s programs and policies at the time of brochure publication. At times, changes in the programs and policies are necessary or desirable after said brochure is published, but prior to program commencement or facility operation. In order to provide the best services, programs and facilities to the public, the Department reserves the right to add to, change, modify or delete any programs and/or policies after they have been published. The department will make a reasonable effort to give prompt public notice of any material changes in the programs and policies, but such notice cannot be assured. We apologize for any inconvenience this may cause. Your understanding and cooperation is appreciated. INCLEMENT WEATHER In the case of inclement weather, the RPRD will make all attempts to contact participants in a timely manner. The means of contact will be program specific. Participants may be reached by phone or email directly from the Department or instructor/ coach. Some programs will use Nixle (p. 4) as the main form of communication. Registrants can get more information from their instructors/coaches. In case of inclement weather which forces the Scout Cabin to not be accessible, all rentals/programs will be postponed and rescheduled. PARK POLICIES Please note there is absolutely no smoking, drug or alcohol use allowed on any park grounds. Please follow all other Village Ordinances and refer to park-specific signage for additional policies. All Riverside Parks are open at dawn and close at dusk. Any groups over the number of 8 people in an organized activity must obtain a permit through the Riverside Parks and Recreation. GENERAL PROGRAM GUIDELINES Only those registered for the program are allowed to be in program area and partake in activity. In all Parent/Child programs, only the registered child will be permitted to attend the class with a participating guardian. Other guidelines will be explained by coach/instructor. GIFT CERTIFICATES The Riverside Parks and Recreation Department has Gift Certificates available for purchase in various denominations. Please contact the department for more information. PROGRAM/ACTIVITY WAIVER By registering for and participating in any program/activity within this brochure, or by registering your minor child/ward for participation in said programs/activities, you are waiving your rights and/or the rights of your minor child/ward to all claims for injuries you or your minor child/ward might sustain arising out of this program/activity, and you agree to indemnify, hold harmless and defend the Village of Riverside for any claims arising out of participation in the programs. In the event of any emergency, you authorize the public entity to secure from any licensed hospital, physician, and/or medical personnel any treatment deemed reasonable and necessary for your own or your minor child’s immediate care and agree that you will be responsible for payment of any and all medical services rendered. In addition, you understand that any photos or video taken by Village of Riverside employees during Village of Riverside programs/ activities become the property of the Village of Riverside and may be used for marketing purposes. 3
