programs to support and personalize
student learning, including an awardwinning
alternative learning program for
juniors and seniors.
In addition to a strong K-12 experience,
both school districts are committed to
serving all learners, from birth through
adulthood. South St. Paul Public Schools
offer free preschool classes at both of
its elementary schools, with additional
early learning and family education
classes available at the district’s Family
Education Center. The Inver Grove
Heights Early Learning Center provides
Early Childhood and Family Education
(ECFE) classes and screenings as
well as preschool classes to help new
families get their children on an early
path to high achievement. Before and
after school childcare, youth enrichment
and adult learning programs (including
Adult Basic Education, GED and English
Learner classes) are offered through the
district’s involvement in the TriDistrict
Community Program, a partnership with
Inver Grove Heights and West-St. Paul-
Mendota Heights-Eagan school districts.
