Q. 2. How long have you been making
Bead On It Boards?
A. Since the early 80’s, I used to make them
and give them to my students to bead on, that
way there was a place to put one’s own work,
no beads flying around the room either, and
the next day no one could tell there had been
25 people in my office beading because there
were no beads on the floor! lol
Q. 3. What is the most popular feature that
Bead On It Boards offers beaders?
A. Ease of beading, I hated beads sliding all
over the place while I was trying to stick the
needle in the bead, it would take me 10 times
longer to make something, and with a Bead On
It Board this doesn’t happen, the beads stay in
place and beading is quick. I have to say there
are many women who blatantly copied my
boards so if the tag on the bottom says “Bead
On It” you have a board we made, if it doesn’t
have the tag or isn’t marked “ Bead On It” then
it is someone who is copying them usually
very poorly. We GUARANTEE the boards, and
the longevity. Be sure to check who made the
board, it needs to be from Bead On It Boards.
many years, todays fabrics though make finding the right good quality fabrics a bit of a tough
navigation. We try to find fabrics that are made
right here in the USA that way we know the
content.
Q. 7. Where do you have these beading
boards manufactured?
A. I am for now the assembly line! Cheri, my
friend cuts the wood, and I cut everything else,
we have one other helper, so the boards go
through 3 moves before they are made and
shipped, we are looking for a space to rent
to keep it all in one building and hire more
people..I know what you’re thinking! Shark
Tank!! No, our profit margin is too low believe it
or not, we pay top dollar to anyone who makes
the boards.
Q. 4. Have you improved the boards since
the very first Bead On It Boards was sold?
A. Yes, we now use organic ‘green’ wood that is
made in America, and our fabric rims are made
for us in Los Angeles from organic dyes.
Q. 5. What future improvements or additions are you planning for your product
line?
A. I am developing a board that is strictly for
wire wrapping, and is ahhhmazing!
Q. 6. How do your beading boards hold up
to normal use?
A. My original board is just fine, and is from
about the early 80’s, just a bit faded from being
in the sun, so if one takes good care it can last
