In 1999, inspired by the lucidity of a clearing sky, two self-taught photographers from Paris, Eddy Aushido and Maximilien Rave, had a vision.
They named it les deux garçons: two boys looking for sharp-edged beauty;
charm found anywhere, but captured by few.
Before long, the fashion industry was seduced by their remarkable worldview, and ever since the lens of Les Deux has recorded irrefutable grace as
they capture fleeting fragments of the ethereal.
Love is a core theme of their work in all its drugged and twisted forms. Their
lives are a kaleidoscopic swirl; the blur of dappled light and magic. Their
photographs are exhibitions of twisted simplicity, of boldness in beauty.
Inspired by the artistic movements of the 70´s, they seek to evoke a time where
beauty cost less - from the seductive gaze of Jerry Hall to Lauren Hutton´s
unforgettable smile.
Numerous advertising campaigns feature their intense images ranging from
dark bohemianism to sensual sophistication and extravagance.
Bold signature style: sharp and svelte, and unafraid to show mysticism in
weakness - the beauty of an imperfection.
Les deux garcons’ adroit skill in working intangible angles between light and
dark, to dazzle the fashion industry and beyond has been channeled by their
ever-curious lens.

‘A vision that speaks of truth, of honeyed-chaos, of creative
strength coated in softness.’
