When , he comes between the Wardens in the West with the 4 . Deputies , he first salutes the M . r the North , the South , and then the Wardens with his sword – After which , the Prince visitor , shall make the sign of the Lodge which is open – which shall be Returned by the Master and all the Bretheren – After w . h the M . r shall say : To order Brethren – And by a Knock , all the Br . n from the North & South , shall Form an arch , with their Arms , through which , he Passes , until he Arrives at the M . r who shall offer him the seat , which he may Accept , and Command the Works – Then , the M . r shall render him an Account of everything relative to the Order ; and then if he chuses or thinks proper , shall deliver the seat to the M . r again , in Order to continue the Work begun – And When the Prince Visitor , chuses to Retire before the Lodge is over or closed , and having inform ’ d the T . P . or Wosp . l in a Lodge of Perfection , he shall receive Thanks for his Visit , and an Invitation to come often , offering him at the same time , all the service that is in the Power of said Lodge – After , this Compliment is passed , the M . r shall strike one great knock , and say To order Brethren ; which is repeated in the West , when all the Brethren in the North and South , shall form the Arch as before , through which , the Prince Visitor goes back , until he comes between the Wardens , where , he turns to the East , and Salutes the Master , the North , South and the Wardens , and then walks to the door which must be thrown open , ( as is done when he Enters ) and when he is Conducted out of the door by the 4 Deputies , they Return in the Lodge , and continue their Work –
4 . thly The Princes of Jerusalem cannot Enjoy these Privileges , when there is any Kn . t or Prince of a higher degree present , unless the Prince of a higher degree agrees to it – is in the West , between the Wardens , and accompanied by the four delegates of the Lodge , he will salute , first the Master , then the North , then the South , and then the two Wardens . Immediately after this ceremony he will give the sign of the degree in which the body is working , which will be repeated by the Master and by all the Brethren together ; and then the Master will say , " To order , my Brethren !" Instantly all the Brethren on the North and South will together form an arch with their naked swords , or if they have none , with their outstretched arms , under which the Valorous Prince will pass with a grave step , until he comes to the Master . The Master will offer him the sceptre , which he will accept and direct the work . The Master will report to him in regard to the work , and as to every thing that concerns the Order . But if he thinks proper , he will decline to receive the sceptre , leaving the Master to continue the work already begun ; and if the Valorous Prince desires to retire before the Lodge is closed , he will so inform the Master or Th∴ Puissant , who will thank him for his visit , invite him to frequently repeat it , and tender him all the services in his power ; and after this compliment , the Master will give one rap , and say " To order , my Brethren !" This will be repeated by each Warden , and all the Brethren on the North and South will form a vault , under which the Valorous Prince , after saluting the Master , will pass , his naked sword in his hand , as if in a combat . When between the two Wardens , he will turn towards the East and salute the Master , the North , the South , and each Warden , in succession . Then , still accompanied by the four delegates , he will retire from the Lodge , the doors standing wide open as when he entered . The four delegates having reentered , the work will be resumed .
3 d . A Prince of Jerusalem cannot exercise his privileges when there is also present a Prince Adept , Chevalier Noachite , or Sovereign Prince of the Royal Secret ; but he may enter with all the honours , if the Sublime Princes present assent thereto .
5 . thly A Prince of Jerusalem shall be called Valorous Prince , a Kn . t of the Sun , Sov . n Prince , and a Prince of the Royal Secret , Ill . s Sov . n of Sovn . s ; - a Kn . t of the East , Excellent , and has a Right , when no Prince of Jerusalem is present , to the Inspection of the Constitution of any
4 th . When present in a Lodge , Princes of Jerusalem will be addressed as Valiant Princes ; Knights Adepts as Sovereign Princes ; Knights of the Royal Secret as Illustrious Sovereigns of the Sovereign Sublime Princes ; and Knights of the East as Excellent Brothers-Knights .
