De Grasse-Tilly and the Early Supreme Council : 1786 – 1802
ceremony of the late Worshipful Master on May 29 , 1797 , there are several lodge meetings that took place in the days preceding this , and it is evident that , in fact , the ceremony occurred on the 29 th and that the inscription was faulty in the ritual book .
In the final section , there are the religious services of the Knights Rose Croix of the lodge . The note at the top indicates that the opening is the same as the 18 th degree . This does not mean that La Candeur itself was working the 18 th degree but rather indicates that they were working a form of the Knights Rose Croix under the French Rite and that its opening ceremony was identical to the 18 th degree ritual in the manuscript supplied by Long .
Pierre Dupont Delorme Register and Ritual Book . 1797 – 1802

Pierre Dupont Delorme was made

a Deputy Inspector General and
Prince Mason by Jean Baptiste Aveilhé on December 10 , 1797 . His register is contained in the archives of the Supreme Council 33 ° Southern Jurisdiction and was later transcribed and translated by Albert Pike in preparation for his 1872 book The Constitutions and Regulations of 1762 . 22 It contains subtle variations from the published English version , and Pike footnoted these differences and are the only portions from the Constitutions of 1762 recorded in his translated manuscript , as the majority was a word for word copy . These differences will be further explained in the following section .

The Supreme Council is also in possession of the second volume of Delorme ’ s ritual books , though sadly the first volume is missing and was never in their possession . The index is stamped with the seal of La Candeur over the index section listing the contents of the Ancients rituals and the bottom of the same page is signed as a true copy by Delahogue , presumably in 1803 .
