Spectrum Insurance Group is pleased to provide this magazine as a valuable resource for your company. The purpose of the magazine is to bring relevant content to help your business succeed. Inside this edition, you’ll find many great articles related to business insurance, employee benefits, safety/risk management, employment law, banking, financial management, and general business topics. We think you will find these articles informative and useful to the success of your business. When Spectrum Insurance Group was started in 2007, one of the core values we established was to provide value-added services to our customers. Risk & Business Magazine provides another outlet to help inform and educate not only our customers but also all businesses located throughout the state of Wisconsin. What’s good for all businesses in Wisconsin is good for Spectrum Insurance Group! Contrary to popular belief that insurance is boring and stagnant, it’s actually quite the opposite. With the constantly changing world we live in, insurance evolves and adapts to these changes with new coverage options and interpretations of coverage. Cyber liability is certainly one of those coverages that is evolving as the world changes. A year or two ago, it was good enough just to have data compromise coverage. Now, businesses need not only data compromise coverage but also system extortion/ransomware coverage as well as coverage for business interruptions caused by cyber breaches. And in the future, auto insurance will be changing dramatically with the evolution of smart cars and, more recently, the impact that Uber and Lyft are having on how to deal with these coverage issues. On behalf of the entire staff in all of our offices located throughout Wisconsin, we hope you enjoy this issue of Risk & Business Magazine. Please feel free to provide me any feedback regarding this magazine by email ing me at darrel.zaleski@spectruminsgroup. com. We’d love to hear from you.
