Reflects On A Commendable Company Well Covered
When Nesbit Agencies acquired the Saarela Insurance Agency in 2018 , Eli Giller ’ s policies ( see page 4 ) were transferred into Alisha Paradise ’ s capable hands . Right away , Alisha noticed some errors that left Eli ’ s company open to potential damages .
As it turned out , the previous agent hadn ' t asked all the right questions when it came to what Eli ' s risk factors were .
When Eli expressed a need for additional coverage and Alisha called the insurance carrier to do a policy update , the carrier balked and said that the business had been performing certain activities without their knowledge . The carrier informed her that the degree of risk was now too high and they could no longer carry the policy at all . This left Alisha in a stressful position as she scrambled to secure a new carrier to fully insure the company .
Since she had just started working for Nesbit Agencies , and the previous policy was already written , Alisha asked the carrier to hold the policy to renewal in order to give her some time to find a replacement carrier . However , the carrier refused .

It took some time , but Alisha was finally able to obtain the complete coverage Eli needed to operate securely through a new carrier . With Alisha ’ s help , Eli now has all of his over $ 300,000 worth of heavy equipment and machinery fully covered .
Since obtaining adequate coverage increased the company premiums significantly , Alisha has made sure to save Eli money wherever she can with his other policies . For example , she noticed his personal policies were all spread out amongst different carriers . Being an independent agency , this isn ’ t unusual to see , but it ’ s not always in the best interest of the client . Alisha ran the numbers and realized that by moving these policies to the new carrier as well , she could save Eli a significant amount on his monthly premiums .
Interestingly , when it came to the policies for Eli ' s personal-use vehicles , Alisha found that insuring these separately through another carrier ( instead of adding them to his existing policy package ) would also save Eli a substantial figure . She could have easily insured everything through the same carrier and taken a larger commission without Eli being the wiser , but that ' s not how Alisha operates .
In addition to insurance , Eli required plumbing bonds to operate on city sewage and water lines . Not only did Alisha know exactly what these were when Eli asked about them but she also knew precisely how to obtain one for him . Now Eli is covered for any city that he works in .

She handles all types of insurance but especially loves the commercial side due to its complexity and the importance it represents for all business owners .
