Jeff Staloch knew Matt Armon , owner of Armon Decorating , long before he started representing him as a Nesbit Agencies insurance agent . They met in high school ; Matt was a friend of Jeff ’ s brother . “ We go all the way back ,” says Jeff .
For more than 70 years , Armon Decorating has been a business landmark in the Blue Earth , Minnesota , community . The Armons founded their firm on family principles passed down from generation to generation , beginning as a painting business operating out of a house and eventually growing into a flooring , paint , and decorating store . The company ’ s old brick structure commands attention in the area . Taking great care , the Armons have made interior and exterior improvements to the over-100-year-old building .
“ When Matt took over the store from his father , he was well-versed in the home improvement business but lacked knowledge about insurance ,” Jeff explains . “ That ’ s why he turned to me to ensure that his building and business were wellprotected .”
In 2010 , Jeff met with Matt to hammer out the finer points of the insurance policy . “ It ’ s not easy for an older building to get good coverage ,” Jeff asserts . “ But the Armons ’ TLC and updates made a big difference . Instead of only looking up the age of the building , Nesbit Agencies takes in the whole picture .”
In addition to successfully resolving several of Armon ’ s claims , Jeff believes the Nesbit Agencies personal touch keeps Matt ( and others ) as a client . “ We have a good working relationship ,” says Jeff . “ I value both our working and personal relationship .”
