Companies working in big industry come in all shapes and sizes . For Alliance Recycling Group , that size is slightly over 100 employees spread across multiple recycling facilities , all working together as a traditional scrap metal recycling business . Their operations encompass everything recycling : logistics , collection , buying , processing , and selling most types of recycled materials . Operating from their home base in Minneapolis , Minnesota , they act as a service provider to industrial manufacturers , scrap metal dealers , and peddler customers , and as a seller to national and international customers .
Alliance has been in business since the ’ 50s . Its current corporate structure acts as an umbrella , of sorts , for companies which have been acquired over the years . Shane Betz and his partners bought into the business in 2013 , eventually acquiring it all in 2018 . Alliance has been operating on the same piece of property since it came into existence .
