We would like to take this opportunity to thank you all for taking the time to read this publication. As many of you know, 2018 has been a year of transition for McFarlan Rowlands. With a change in CEO and the acquisition of DA Kurt Insurance Brokers, we have not been in short supply of things to keep us busy. We continue to strive to provide the best possible customer service in the industry and provide our patrons with a wide variety of coverages unique to their needs. We continue to expand our business and acquire new staff members who are a natural fit for our company. Weather patterns continue to have a significant impact on our clients’ needs for service and coverage. It is likely that this will continue to be the case into the foreseeable future. With winter weather upon us, we continue to see weather-related automobile accidents. We encourage people to take the necessary precautions to stay safe on the roads. We also continue to partner with many great causes within the communities we serve. We have been fortunate to support many different local events through sponsorships as well as host fundraising events of our own. As well, this year we have implemented a Community Outreach Day which allows each of our staff members to spend a day volunteering with a cause near and dear to his or her heart. This has been a great success. 12 HAPPY TO BE HEALTHY Gretchen Rubin 14 REFERRAL MAGIC Tony Rubleski 20 GREAT IDEAS NEED GREAT IMPLEMENTATION Jordan Belfort Please visit our newly redesigned website if you would like to learn more about what we do and what we can offer you as an individual or business. 22 SLOW MARKETING Ann Handley We cannot thank you all enough for taking the time to read this edition of Risk & Business Magazine.
