Community Feature What’s New at McFarlan Rowlands After a busy summer, things have not slowed down for us here at McFarlan Rowlands. We continue to support the communities we serve through sponsorships and events. We are thrilled to be able to sponsor a variety of great events across Southwestern Ontario as well as host events of our own. SUMMER WAS THE SEASON OF FUNDRAISER BBQ’S ACROSS OUR BRANCHES Ingersoll hosted a Fundraiser BBQ on June 15th, with all proceeds from hot dog and sausage sales going towards Project: Be-You-Tiful. Project Be-You-Tiful works in partnership with Woodstock General Hospital to provide support to women in the community currently undergoing cancer treatment. This project provides these women with a combination of feel good items to help those receiving them feel beautiful. We also supported many great causes throughout the communities we serve. PRUSTY4KIDS McFarlan Rowlands was a sponsor for Prusty4Kid’s David Feherty Night and Golf Tournament. This two day event raised a remarkable $ 261,250. The organization partners with 18 local organizations which help kids in the communities we serve. Strathroy hosted a Fundraiser BBQ on August 10th, where all proceeds were donated to the Woman’s Rural Resource Centre. The centre provides Crisis Support, Emergency Shelter, Transitional Housing, Children’s Programs, Advocacy Programs, Women’s Counselling and Public Education to Strathroy and surrounding area. Thamesford hosted a Fundraiser BBQ on May 18th to kick off their Calithumpian Weekend with all proceeds from food sales going towards the Children’s Hospital of Southwestern Ontario.
