This term directly
impacts the
bottom line since engaged employees can sell more than
disengaged employees. Companies that really hope to have
a sustainable competitive edge should set up a clear way
for employees to become engaged by management.
If you step back and think about what the term actually
means, it surely makes sense that engaged employees will
sell more. While each business defines the term differently,
there are some key aspects which apply to all of them:
1. COMMUNICATE CORE VALUES
Establishing a well-communicated and well-defined
vision can give meaning to core values and help
employees recognize behaviours that support that vision.
A good leadership team will communicate core values
and give meaning to the employee’s experience.
Employees who have engaged their heart and soul to achieve
a certain goal will see the results that they want. Constant
communication and engagement gives employees something
to look forward to when they come into work every day, which
then leads to better and more efficient performance overall
2. PROMOTE A TRUST CULTURE
To get excellent employee engagement and the best results
from them, build up a trust culture. Discuss with your
management team the best ways to build up trust with
your employees and ask them if the employees are doing
well. Never stop checking in, but don’t micromanage.
3. PROVIDE CLEAR EXPECTATIONS
To attain the best results, provide clear expectations to
employees. Set specific goals for them and let them know what
you are expecting of them. If they know your expectations,
they can give 100 percent to fulfill those expectations.

4. OFFER COMPETITIVE PAY
Like it or not, competitive pay and good working conditions are
the absolute best way to get your employees engaged. If they feel
they are not being adequately compensated, they will resent the
company, do less efficient work, and be more likely to quit. +
