What’s New at McFarlan Rowlands
Having just acquired our 16th office within Southwestern Ontario, McFarlan Rowlands has been keeping busy. We continue to strive to be as
active as possible in all of the communities we serve. We have had a busy spring and have been able to sponsor many great causes. From sports
team sponsorships to events, we focus on helping to encourage people to lead an active, healthy lifestyle.
DA KURT ACQUISITION
In the spring, we finalised our acquisition of DA Kurt Insurance Brokers of Kitchener. DA Kurt will become McFarlan Rowlands’ 16th branch
in the province. DA Kurt will operate as a division of McFarlan Rowlands; however, both insurance brokerages plan to continue to operate
under their own brands. As DA Kurt has been a specialist in group business for many years, we believe there is great value in the DA Kurt
brand and what it represents. This acquisition was a natural fit as both brokerages share similar values and pride themselves on providing
quality advice and service.
TRILLIUM ROOTS FUND—
THAMESFORD WATER AND WHEELS
McFarlan Rowlands nominated the
Thamesford Water and Wheels skate park
and splash pad for the Trillium Mutual
ROOTS community fund. As a result, it
received support in the amount of $10,000.
This generous donation by Trillium Mutual
ROOTS community fund will contribute
to the successful completion of the project.
Some of our sponsorships this spring
included the following: VON GREAT COMMUNITY RUN,
WALK ’N’ ROLL
THE FOREST CITY ROAD RACES

Since its beginning, we have been a proud
supporter of the Forest City Road Races and
a sponsor of the Forest City Half Marathon.
For over 35 years, the community has run
together in this healthy activity. All of us
at McFarlan Rowlands encourage other
businesses and community members
to partake in this worthwhile cause.

This event is VON Middlesex-Elgin’s
biggest fundraiser, raising a cumulative

$1.1 million for local programs and
services. McFarlan Rowlands has been
a proud sponsor for the past two years.
This walk features both two-kilometre
and five-kilometre routes through Mt.
Brydges as well as an instructor-led
VON SMART class, making the event
inclusive for everyone and for all abilities.
