What’s Happening at Lloyd Sadd Calgary? I t has been a busy summer in Calgary, as we continue to build our Calgary practice along with helping our clients battle the current economic environment in Alberta with the radical drop in the oil price. We understand the pressure on our clients in this market and we are actively taking measures to protect our clients bottom lines such as mid-term adjustments, coverage modification for parked units and rate reductions. At the same time, we are making sure safety and risk management standards are not lost in the mix as companies adjust for the current conditions. This summer Richard Collins joined our firm, to head up our surety/bonding operations in Calgary. Richard has over 15 years’ experience working in the surety sector for both large local brokerage and international brokerage firms. We have always had a successful surety practice in our Edmonton office, one of the largest in Western Canada. With growing Calgary, it was an easy decision to add surety expertise to our office. It will enable us to have local surety service for our existing clients in the Lloyd Sadd Group, plus it will give us the critical resources to build our construction practice. In addition to growing our local office, we have had exciting additions this summer to our Navacord Group. Locally with Idirum Risk Services and with Global Trade Credit joining Navacord. Idirum is a well known leader in Calgary for the risk management/insurance in the energy industry, specifically E&P companies; and Global Trade Credit specializes in credit insurance to protect companies’ financial risk at home or abroad. It also frees up working capital to help them growth their businesses.  Lloyd Sadd Calgary will be working closely with Idirum and Global Trade Credit for the benefit of our clients; leveraging their expertise and unique product(s) & services. We appreciate all the support from our clients as well as our insurance companies  which we refer to as our partners.   Paul Constance President, Lloyd Sadd Calgary 26 RISK & BUSINESS MAGAZINETM FALL 2015
