WHAT A BROKER DOES throughout the claims process. Broker team members understand that stress and confusion can easily become a roadblock in the claims process. So brokers advocate for their clients to make certain claims are settled quickly and favourably. It’s important to understand that value- added services are offered beyond the insurance policy. These services are what separates one broker from another and should always be considered during the process of purchasing insurance products. An exceptional broker will always endeavour to increase the tangibility of an intangible insurance product and offer more than the insurer’s promise to pay. And when faced with a greater test, it makes me proud to be part of an organization that exceeds expectations and delivers excellent service. In the aftermath of the water damage that threatened our client’s business, they reinforced my belief in our purpose and care when they shared the following feedback: The JDIMI team attended [the] site within hours of being notified and immediately provided guidance, direction, and recommendations on how best to deal with the disaster.
