As a garage installer and repairman,
James visited a new home construc-
tion site to install a garage door.
Painters were also on site using a
pressurized paint sprayer. While
on his ladder, James accidentally
dropped a heavy piece of metal,
which punctured the sprayer hose
and spewed paint everywhere. To
stop the spraying, James quickly
grabbed the hose with his right
hand and covered the hole. The end
result was a serious high-pressure
injection hand injury.
A traumatic work injury like the one
James experienced could have ended
