Summer is finally in sight after one of the longest, old-fashioned winters
in a long time. With this shift in weather, I am sure many of you in our
region are preparing for the summer months which are fast approaching.
This edition of Gillons Insurance Risk & Business Magazine also provides
a focus on the summer months ahead. I invite you to review the articles
which touch on seasonal properties and toys associated with our lakes
and recreational playgrounds. We are very fortunate to have eleven
offices throughout the Northwest region that are easily accessible
and house industry experts who can help you manage your needs in
these areas. We believe in personalised service, rather than an online
approach. We care about you as a client and understand the risks we face
together in the North.
Our towns are not only surrounded by recreational playgrounds but
also an abundance of forest that supports the logging sector in the
region. The Gillons Logging Program has had a very stable existence
for the past twenty years. This program continues to provide insurance
protection for many logging contractors in Northern Ontario. We know
the instability of competing programs in the industry is affecting some
contractors in the North today. We invite you to contact one of our
industry experts to find out how we can help manage your risk needs
in this sector.
We are also very excited to launch our new Financial Services offering at
Gillons. Under the direction of Chad Canfield, Group Programs and Life
Insurance options are now available at Gillons. This allows us to round out
a complete product offering for our client base across the region, which in
essence provides “one-stop shopping” for all of your insurance needs.
Our involvement in the various communities where we live and work
is always fun to review, and doing so in this summer edition is no
exception. The staff at Gillons is deeply embedded in our towns across
the North. We know the value of supporting the many initiatives out
there in our communities and always make it a priority to volunteer or
help with donations or sponsorships when we are able.
In closing, it is important for us to thank our existing customer base who
have entrusted Gillons with their insurance needs. Without the support
of our customers, we are not able to give back to the many communities
we operate in. Thank you.
Enjoy the magazine and the summer weather ahead. Be safe, avoid
using your cell phone while driving, and let’s make the summer of 2018
a memorable one in the North!
