Welcome to our fall 2016 edition of Gillons Insurance Risk & Business Magazine .
What an exciting year 2016 has been for Gillons ! Throughout our eleven offices across the north , Gillons has had a very good year . A good year in the world of an insurance broker includes great retention with our existing customer base , the addition of new customers , positive customer experiences for our clients , and a dedicated team of employees .
However , the summer wasn ’ t without its challenges . Certain areas across the north were hit with extreme hail , and others experienced major flooding . This is obviously a stressful time and nothing is more important to Gillons than to help people during these moments . I am proud to say , through it all , the majority of our customers who experienced a claim this year are very satisfied with our claims service . Ninety-five percent of our customers who experienced claims through Gillons reported our service as “ very good ” to “ great .”
We monitor and survey our customers right from the initial claim call , through the assessment of damage and the necessary reparations to the closing of the claim . I believe this level of service is remarkable , and although we conducted the survey , we don ’ t provide this level of service alone . I commend not only our claims team but also the external adjusters , the contractors , and the insurance companies we represent . Given our geography and limited resources to respond to claims , this speaks volumes to the professionalism demonstrated by all parties involved .
At the end of the day , many people focus on price when they consider insurance . I encourage all readers to review their policies and ask a lot of questions when they are buying insurance . With the frequency and scale of claims today , you don ’ t want to be disappointed when a claim occurs .
