Well , by popular demand , we are back with another edition of Gifford Associates Risk & Business Magazine . While the fall tends to be our busiest time at Gifford , we ’ ve decided to make it even busier !
We have recently expanded into the town of Pembroke , and this fall , we merged with another brokerage in the east end of Ottawa . The axiom “ bigger is better ” certainly applies in the insurance industry , and with these moves , we are certainly one of the largest brokerages in the Ottawa valley . The bigger we are , the more options we can offer you , our client . By expanding our “ footprint ,” we can provide better service and pricing while continuing to maintain our independence . That independence is critical so we can continue to represent you ( without conflict ) with respect to all your insurance needs . Many of our competitors cannot make this same claim .
Another advantage of size is that we gain the resources necessary to expand into ventures such as online purchasing and sales , administration ( i . e ., online pink slips , certificates , etc .), and billing , all of which makes it more convenient for you to do business with us . It is our hope that our business model of being locally owned , providing personalized service and competitive pricing , combined with the zealous representation of our clients ’ needs continues to appeal to not only our current clients but also attracts new clientele as well .
