LETTER FROM THE PRESIDENT
We ’ re just over three months into 2022 and it ’ s already proven to be just as tumultuous and full of change as the last two years . Coming off the pandemic , we ’ re now facing record inflation , labor shortages , supply chain issues , and growing concerns about Ukraine and Russia . Gas prices have skyrocketed . Cybercrime is trending . All these things have presented challenges for individuals , businesses , and the insurance industry .
If there is one thing that the surprises of the past two years have taught us , it is to be ready to respond to a broad range of potential threats . Preparation and a proactive approach to risk management is essential .
When we sat down to brainstorm what we wanted this issue to communicate , it was important for us to provide resources to prepare for many of life ’ s storms ( pun fully intended heading into our seasonal April showers ).
With that in mind , we focused on topics for businesses that addressed ways to control insurance costs in the hardening market , cybercrime through compromised email accounts , and preparing for OSHA inspections .
