Meet Our Newest Employees Marcel Arsenault, CIP [email protected] Commercial Broker - Charlottetown, PEI Marcel was born in North York, ON, and raised in Wellington, PE before embarking on his 20-year insurance career. After attending the Insurance Program at Mohawk College, in Hamilton, ON, Marcel began his career as an independent adjuster. He spent the majority of his adjusting career with Cunningham Lindsey Canada and Crawford Adjusters in ON, AB, PE, and NB. Marcel handled automobile, home, general liability and commercial losses. Marcel also spent several years on Crawford & Company’s Global Catastrophe Team where he handled hurricane, flood and ice storm claims throughout Canada and USA. After a short break from adjusting to work in claims management software sales, Marcel began his career as a commercial broker with Hyndman & Company Limited in 2013 where he also completed his CIP designation. He then moved to Cooke Insurance Group as a commercial broker in January 2016. Marcel’s experience in the industry as an adjuster prepared him to hit the ground running as a commercial broker. He looks forward to continue growing as a broker with the Cooke Insurance Group in Charlottetown, PE where he resides with his wife and son. Deirdre Green, CAIB, CRM [email protected] Commercial Account Executive - Halifax, Nova Scotia A native of the beautiful Annapolis Valley, Deirdre began her career in the insurance industry as a receptionist for an independent brokerage. She quickly advanced and has since championed a variety of roles spanning sales, service and management in both personal and commercial departments. Deirdre carries two professional designations, C.A.I.B. (Canadian Accredited Insurance Broker) and C.R.M. (Canadian Risk Manager). Using the technical expertise gleaned from over 10 years working as an insurance broker, Deirdre always goes above and beyond for her clients in offering customized solutions to meet their needs. Deirdre spends much of her free time outside and is an avid fly fisher. She also is a passionate about art and loves to paint, often using nature as inspiration for watercolor landscapes. Joel Young, CAIB, CIP [email protected] Commercial Broker - Halifax, Nova Scotia Joel was born and raised in Nova Scotia, he joined the insurance industry in 2009 and has worked for some of the largest commercial insurance brokerages in Atlantic Canada. He completed his Canadian Accredited Insurance Broker (CAIB) designation in 2012 and the Chartered Insurance Professional (CIP) designation in 2015. He started his career in the construction and trades as a gas/pipe fitter but realized his true passion was problem solving. Well-connected and knowledgeable about construction trends, products, and the local landscape, Joel will help make sure your commercial insurance program is a success. Whether you’re a small business or large scale commercial developer Joel brings fresh perspective and experience to the table. His field of specialization is the construction industry, bonding, manufacturing, farming and environmental risks. Currently he resides in Windsor, Nova Scotia with his wife and two beautiful daughters. He is an avid hockey fan and community supporter.
