Barb Spiers
Barb was born and raised in a small town outside of Chatham, ON. She moved to St.
Catharines, in 1994 to attend Niagara College in the Horticultural program. After
working for 8 years in retail utilizing her gardening knowledge, she knew it was time for
a change. She applied to several Insurance Brokerages in the Niagara area and hasn’t
looked back.
She was originally hired by First Niagara Insurance brokers, who became All Niagara
Insurance brokers, in 2004 to cover reception. While there, she quickly moved into a
CSR position. When Condotta, Merrett & Company Insurance Brokers acquired All
Niagara in 2011, she obtained her R.I.B.O license and is now the Senior Personal Lines
Underwriter for the entire company.
Barb recently relocated to the Niagara on the Lake office in January 2015 where she
continues her personal lines underwriting duties as well as managing main reception.
She works closely with the brokers there, Andrejs and Rick, to ensure great customer
service for their Niagara on the Lake clients. She continues her education of all the new
products and guidelines in the ever changing Insurance Industry.
Outside of work, Barb enjoys spending time with her husband Chris and children
Chelsea and Devon. She loves working in her gardens, is an avid animal lover with
numerous pets of her own and enjoys spending time outdoors camping with her family.
