INTEGRATED SERVICES
There are six key ways which Integrated
Services differentiates themselves in the
community:
1. COLLABORATIVE
Everything they do is designed from
the ground up to be a collaborative
process, developing and cultivating strong
relationships with others in the community.
2. INTEGRATED
“Integrated” has appeared in the name of the
company for 20 years, and for good reason.
Now more than ever, all of their services
are designed to be carefully blended with
primary healthcare to operate in a more
holistic way.
3. COMMUNITY MINDED
By maintaining a strong focus on the
community, they are able to partner with
a diverse group of organizations, including
healthcare companies and social services.
The end goal is to meet the everyday needs
of people in the community and have a real,
tangible impact on their health and wellness.
4. LOCAL
They help to conserve local healthcare
and community resources so that those
resources can fit more efficiently
in both emergent regional and
national systems of care.
5. FORWARD THINKING
During this time of unparalleled
opportunity, Integrated Services seeks out
partnerships to drive positive change in
the community. Their priorities include
the integration of behavioral health
into primary care, the development
of safe and affordable housing, and
opening opportunities for education and
employment for members of the community.
6. PERSON CENTERED
The staff provide a full array of clinical
behavioral health services, using only
the highest standards and contemporary
treatments. Even so, they place a special
emphasis on home-based services. Doing
things in that way has provided valuable
lessons about relationship-based care. Thus,
working as allies, the staff at Integrated
Services find themselves in a better position
to help people and families to help themselves
to be well.
The community-oriented approach that
Integrated Services takes does not stop at
behavioral health. They have also expanded
into community development projects.
Seeing growth and a financial margin
year after year—unusual for the industry—
affords them the ability to diversify from
behavioral health in three different ways:
1. AFFORDABLE HOUSING
Providing permanent supportive and
affordable housing for specialized
populations (such as homeless populations)
through the assistance of development
partners.
2. COMMUNITY ENTERPRISE
More broadly defined than housing but
takes on a lot of shapes and sizes. One of
the largest projects they have undertaken
is the Mary Hill Center of Nelsonville,
which saw complete exterior, interior, and
landscape renovations along with solar
energy and HVAC upgrades to provide an
organic feeling of health and well-being to
visitors.
3. HEALTH RECORDS, BILLING, AND
DATA PROCESSING
Integrated Services also acquired a for-
profit company called Health Priority
Systems that they have reconfigured to act
as a nonprofit company doing the same.
From there, they turned the company
around from red ink to being profitable,
further using those funds to act in a
positive way in the community.
