I’ m often asked what it takes to be the largest independent insurance broker in Newfoundland and Labrador, and my answer is always the same. At Cal LeGrow, we make it about more than just a policy. It’ s about having deeper conversations with local business owners and making a true commitment to helping our clients succeed.
Throughout the year, cyber risk has continued to be a hot topic of discussion among our clients. While the term can be ambiguous to many, the threat is very real. This is no longer just a concern for the global giants of the corporate world. In fact, two-thirds of all network security breaches happen to independent businesses.
That’ s why we have included a Cyber Risk Scorecard in this issue that you can complete in just ten short minutes.
In addition, we have once again reached out to business leaders across the province to share their insights and advice about navigating through this tough economy. I would personally like to thank Anne Whelan, CEO, Seafair Capital; Charlie Oliver, CEO, Martek; and Craig Pollett, CEO, Municipalities Newfoundland and Labrador, for taking the time to share their experiences.
On page 28, we have profiled the Cal LeGrow Foundation. Our foundation’ s mission is to fund and support local organizations that inspire and impact youth. Since 2012, we have contributed over $ 160,000 to help increase opportunities for youth across the province.
This edition will help you grow and protect your business as we move into the new year. I can be reached via email at jlegrow @ callegrow. com.
Sincerely,

WELCOME
