Favorite place in Clinton: The Riverfront area— the LumberKings Stadium, Riverview Park, and the Bandshell. We have so many great things in that area. Growing up at the pool and playing at the park, getting friends together for sand volleyball on summer nights, attending various events held at the Bandshell, and especially hosting Tailgate N ' Tallboys! The Riverfront area is a spot for Clinton to be very proud of.
Favorite memory of Clinton: One of my favorite memories in Clinton ties in with the Riverfront as well. On the last night of summer, before my friends and I began our senior year of high school, we all decided to get together and play volleyball on the sand courts. What started as a group of a few kids turned into nearly half of Fulton High School— all joined together having a blast. It was so great to have all of us together, just being kids and making the most of our final summer night. This serves as a perfect example of the impact that having a space such as the Riverfront serves. Even as residents of the next town over, it gave us all a place to have fun and make great memories.
How you define leadership: To be a leader means to be passionate about both the work you do and the people that surround you as you do so. Leading by example, listening to others and valuing their ideas and striving to meet the desired goal. Leadership is a quality that anyone within any role can possess. Putting in your best efforts will inspire those around you to do the same. Empowering one another to utilize their strengths and build off differences is what creates a great, well-rounded team. Having the skills to organize and manage an environment such as this is what leads to success.
Professional goals: Currently, my professional goals are to gain experience and grow within my position. I began my full-time role with Clinton National Bank last June, so I have spent the past year learning many new, valuable things and becoming more involved in the community! I’ m looking to improve as much as I can and continue finding more strengths to bring to the table. Marketing is an ever-changing and exciting field to be in, so I’ m looking forward to what lies ahead!

Volunteering / Community service: I actively participate in a range of community-based nonprofit organizations. Currently, I serve on the board of the Clinton United Way and am a member of Women United. Additionally, I contribute to the Riverbend Make-A-Wish Gala as a member of the event planning committee. I also serve as a student mentor for the Future Business Leaders of America( FBLA). Supporting the success and development of future generations is a cause I am deeply passionate about. I believe it is crucial to provide guidance, resources, and opportunities to ensure the continued growth and achievement of young people. Being able to contribute in any capacity toward this goal is both a privilege and an honor.
Best career advice you received: The most valuable career advice I have received is, " No one will fight for you as much as you will fight for yourself." This advice underscores the importance of self-belief and personal advocacy. It reminds me that, ultimately, I am responsible for my own success. It is essential to take proactive steps in advancing one ' s career, whether by attending networking events, participating in community initiatives, or volunteering for organizations that align with my values and goals. Understanding your own worth and the unique skills you bring to the table is crucial in positioning yourself for success. By actively seeking opportunities and advocating for your own growth, you create a path toward achieving both personal and professional aspirations.
Who is a local mentor of yours and why: One of my key local mentors is Michele Darland, whose guidance has been invaluable in expanding my connections within the community. Through her mentorship, I have gained exposure to various community networks and become involved in important initiatives that I may not have encountered otherwise. Michele introduced me to Women United, a remarkable group of businesswomen who share a collective commitment to making a positive impact through giving back. Her support and encouragement have played a significant role in shaping my professional growth and fostering my engagement in meaningful community efforts.
How you define leadership: I define leadership as the ability to positively influence others toward a shared goal. A true leader prioritizes the success and growth of those they lead, celebrating the achievements of others rather than seeking personal recognition. Effective leadership involves connecting with people on a personal level, understanding their strengths, and empowering them to contribute meaningfully. A leader sets a positive example by demonstrating the standards of integrity, dedication, and collaboration. Ultimately, leadership is about inspiring and guiding others to reach their full potential while working together toward a common vision.
