According to National Geographic, the change in climate is causing the ice caps to mealt which are exponentionaly inreasingly the sea level snd affecting not only the surrounding environemnt but the planet as a whole. For example, when the sea levels rise it disrupts marine life in many ways, one being the rapid change in temparate of the water and ocean currents pattern. In addition to the effects on marine life, many cities near the coast are being reclaimed by the ocean. causong many damages to the sorrounding environments and costing states billions of dollars on minor preevrntion programs and repairs to damage. when the ice caps melt it affects wildlife that has taken thousands of years to evolve to the harsh snow environment and the rapid change threathens to cause a massive extinction. and a disruption to the food chain.
