Nicodemus seeks Jesus
tell you, unless you are born of water and the spirit, you cannot enter the Kingdom of God.” Nicodemus thought Jesus meant somebody’s body being born again, like they had to be a little baby again but Jesus meant that our souls are “born again” when we believe in him. Because when you believe in Jesus your life changes; you stop doing bad things and start doing good things. It’s like you are starting all over in life. You get a fresh start. It is like you are being born again. When we believe in Jesus and become Christians, the Holy Spirit comes to live inside us. The only way to get to heaven is by believing in Jesus and being born again.
Nicodemus was an important man, he was a well educated man, a Pharisee and a teacher of the Jewish people and as a teacher; he was supposed to know everything. However in his heart, he knew that there was one thing he did not know; how to get into the Kingdom of God. One night Nicodemus came to Jesus in secret, he went at night, when it was dark, so that no one would see him talking to Jesus. He wanted it to be secret so the other Pharisees would not make fun of him for believing in Jesus. Teacher, what must I do to be saved?” he asked. Jesus answered, “Unless a man is born again, he cannot enter the Kingdom of God!” Surprised Nicodemus asked. “But, Master, I am old! How can I be born again? Am I supposed to crawl back into my mother’s womb and be born again? But Jesus just smiled at him. “I

Dear Joseph It is somewhat of a mystery. Bible scholars have tried to come up with answers but still nothing definite. God possibly blessed them with long life as a result of their godliness and obedience.
