Badminton
Badminton is a racquet sport in which two (individual or single ) players or two pairs ( doubles) located on opposite halves of a rectangular court divided by a net face .
Unlike other racquet sports, in badminton is not played with a ball , but with a steering wheel.
Players must hit the steering wheel with his rackets for this crossing the track above the net and fall in the sector opponent. The point ends when the wheel touches the ground, after passing the network.
Badminton is , from the Olympic Games in Barcelona ( 1992 ) , an Olympic sport in five modes: single male and female , male and female doubles and mixed doubles . At that time the rules were unified. The first tournament for men of all England was held in 1899, and the first for women in 1900. The Canadian Badminton Association was founded in 1931 and the American Association of Badminton in 1936. The first American championships were held in 1937 in Chicago .
The playing field dimensions are 13.40 m long and 5.18 m wide at individual and 13.40 m long and 6.10 m wide for doubles matches. The network has 1.55 m tall. The lines are four feet wide , preferably yellow , that are part of the game -for this surface are plotted towards its inside.
