LEARNER LEADERSHIP 2014
2014 has given the Grade 6s an opportunity
to grow and learn as Marist leaders. They are
encouraged to take responsibility for a range of
duties from first aid and catering to recycling.
They are also entrusted with caring for younger
learners. Their leadership training included peer
teaching, running of committees and guidance
from their older ‘brothers and sisters’ in the Matric
LLC around issues of respect and communication.
Their hard work and enthusiasm contribute to
successful highlights such as ’The Angel Touch’,
‘Helpful not Hurtful – using positive and kind words
and actions’ and ‘Wake-up wellness’ as well as
the ‘Mandela Day 67 minute Walk’, that raises
funds for charity. The St Marcellin Committee
spent time with children from St Jane de Chantal
Children’s Home and Nazareth House Children’s
Home. Congratulations Grade 6s of 2014 for your
commitment to learning and growing in leadership!
