The Carlton Mid Bull Ride Series comes to a head after 6 rounds at 6 different ALH hotels throughout

South East Queensland. With only two appearances for two first places Fraser Babbington leads the

chase for the inaugural buckle on 160 points closely followed by first round winner John Foster on

140 points and Mr Consistency Reece Weller on 120. Rd 6 saw an old head on some tough shoulders

prove there's still plenty of cowboy left in all rounder David MaWhinney who held on to take the Esky

home and the prize money. David is now tied 4th with Sam Dolbel.

The novice bull ride has a clear leader heading into the final with Cody burgess on 310 points followed

by Sam Dolbel 200 and Craig Haigh on 190 points. "The rider support has been fantastic throughout

the series and we are wrapped with the interaction from the crowd" said Mellers Fellas owner

Adam Mellers. "It is something the riders seem to be really enjoying and it's about time they get the

notice they deserve. They put there neck on the line every time the chute opens and you can really tell

how much the crowd appreciates it."

The Carlton Mid Bull Ride Series has one last round and the Mellers Fellas promise not to disappoint.

With the usual line up of free kids activities including jumping castle, face painting, petting zoo and

giveaways, a kids mechanical bull + before, during and after show bands. Not to mention over 70,

1 Tonne power houses from Mellers Fellas Bucking Bulls and fellow family contractors BK Bucking Bulls.

Be there to see who lifts the Carlton Mid esky one last time, and who gets to wear the buckle home.
