Campus ministry offers more community service opportunities, mission trips and retreats than ever before. Our Alumni carry these experiences, values and lessons forward through their own philanthropic endeavors and as some of the finest doctors and researchers in the medical community. Our students continue to be recognized for their academic achievements. It’s a testament to a rigorous curriculum, high expectations, and an outstanding faculty dedicated to excellence. Our graduates continue to be admitted to their preferred colleges and graduate at an unprecedented rate (98% in five years). Many choose to continue their education by attending graduate school for business, medicine and law. More than 80% of our students participate in an athletic activity. We are proud of their outstanding record of achievement – last year our teams won 10 of 14 Catholic League Championships, finished second in swimming a close third in tennis and earned state championships in football and lacrosse. Our tradition of excellence continues at the next level where more Warriors than ever are competing in collegiate and professional sports. Over the past year, we were pleased to experience a significant increase in giving and major renovations of the school facility. The newly renovated ARC will open in January 2014 and we are currently setting in motion plans to break ground on Phase 2 of the Science & Engineering Wing in the summer of 2014. On the cover you will find a few doctors representing the many graduates who have gone on to make a difference in medicine. All of our featured doctors credit their time at Rice as being instrumental in guiding their path. I am forever grateful for your willingness to offer time, treasure and talent to Brother Rice. Your gift enables us to offer an outstanding education that develops the “soul, mind and body” of the next generation of leaders. On behalf of the students and faculty of Brother Rice, I thank you for your support, invite you to celebrate with us the achievements of our students and Alumni, and ask that you please continue to support us financially in the future. John E. Birney ‘76 President 3 Proud to be a Warrior!
