Why did you start your blog?
I am a writer by heart. If I could I'd be writing all day every day. Unfortunately I'm a full time educator as well as a mommy so writing is a bit on the side burner (for now). My blog, Sassy Samy, has always been a vision of mine for as long as I can remember, but I only really put effort into my blog at the end of 2017. That was when I realized that I'll never really achieve anything by constantly blaming not-having-enough-time & I consciously made a decision there and then to just start with my blog. And I am loving every moment since.
What is your blog about?
Sassy Samy operates on the following four pillars: information, motivation, entertainment & lifestyle. My aim is thus to provide informative yet entertaining reading material which will hopefully help my readers in any way, shape or form.
What would you like to achieve with your blog?
One of my visions for Sassy Samy is that I'd really love for it to be a beacon of hope for everyone who crosses their paths with my blog. I'd like to showcase facets which are personally close to my heart such as being an Afrikaans working mommy. The current project I'm working on is to create a section which is dedicated just for Afrikaans, so watch this space!
Thoughts on blogger/brand relationships
I think that everything in this life is formed on a give and take principle. That being said, the role of a blogger as a social media influencer should definitely not be frowned upon: it's a win win situation for both the product /service rendered if the blogger has a high following volume. The company gets amazing exposure whilst the blogger gets a nice freebie (or if they're lucky, money) in return. Basically it's a tit for tat partnership which is beneficial for all parties involved if it's been done the ethically correct way.
What you want the world to know
I'm a fabulously fierce & fresh female which hopes to inform, entertain & inspire everyone who stumbles upon my blog. Plus there's also fabulous giveaways & competitions held on a regular basis, so it's definitely worth looking into...
