“The Bachelor” Live on Stage
Former “Bachelorette” Becca Kufrin and former “Bachelor” Ben Higgins are jet-setting to Providence to help locals find love. “The Bachelor” Live
on Stage hits Providence Performing Arts Center as part of a sixty-six-city tour on March 28 at 7:30 p.m. In preparation for the show, area men and women
applied to be the local bachelor or a contestant through bachelorliveonstage.com (friends or family members could also nominate eligible singles). A casting
team analyzed all the applications and chose ten people to appear onstage. “Locals will be part of each show, since we are trying to give people in each city
a chance to connect/date someone from their hometown,” says co-host Kufrin in an email interview. “Contestants will both be notified in advance, as well
as pulled from the audience the night of each show. So everyone better come ready!” The live show will be a condensed version of the popular ABC TV series.
“There will be on-stage challenges that give the women an opportunity to showcase their personalities and let the bachelor and the audience get to know
them more,” Kufrin says. “Just like on the TV show, there will be a first impression rose, group dates, rose ceremonies, hometowns and even a fantasy suite
that will allow our bachelor to find a partner who he thinks he is most compatible with.” Kufrin and Higgins will also interact with the audience, and VIP
tickets grant a chance to meet them in person after the show. bachelorliveonstage.com —JAMIE COELHO
