Women’s Fund of Rhode Island’s premier fundraiser. Th is event will highlight the
work women have done to get us where we are today and how much more work
there is to do. Th e event includes a sit-down dinner, cash bar and live/silent auction.

Pawcatuck River Duck Race
APRIL 25: The twenty-second annual duck
race benefits more than forty local charities
and schools. Sponsor a duck for a chance to
win a number of prizes. Children’s games,
rides and other activities make this a fun fam-
ily event. 11:30 a.m.–3 p.m. $5 per duck. Down-

Racing for the Roses Soirée | May 2nd
Boys Town New England’s Inaugural ‘Racing
for the Roses’ Charity Soiree will be held at Th e
Pavilion at Grace from 4 p.m. – 7 p.m. Th e
event will feature a Mint Julep and Cocktail Bar,
Kentucky Derby-themed menu, hat contests,
and a silent auction. Net proceeds from this
event will benefi t ‘Lift Together with Boys Town,’
a preventative Community Support initiative
serving the most vulnerable children of Pawtucket
and Central Falls. For ticket, sponsorship or donation

Newport Daffodil Days
APRIL 24–MAY 3: Let’s get daffy! This week-
long celebration in the City by the Sea wel-
comes spring with more than one million
daffodils, time to bask in the sun and plenty
of fun activities for the whole family. Take
a walk and see the gorgeous plants during
the Daffodil Stroll or don your pooch in
daffodil-inspired garb for the Daffy Doggie
Paw-rade. Plus, head to the Bellevue House
for a garden party with live music and ballet

Bakers, volunteers and supporters: Help the Homeless
RI is having a bake sale on Saturday, April 18th at
the Warwick Mall Community Booth (in front of
JCPenney) from 10 a.m. – 6 p.m. Money raised will
be used to help the homeless and impoverished in
Rhode Island. If you are interested in volunteering or
