Let’s face it, isn’t one of the most common New Year’s resolutions
to be healthier? Exercise more, eat better, lose weight or simply tune
up and tone up for warmer weather.
So, as we approach April and the start of spring, how many of you

Well, it’s not too late. Our food maven, associate editor Jamie
Coelho, along with able assistance from Julie Tremaine, has done
her usual amazing job of canvassing plant-based healthy eating
options in “Plant Power,” a tour of Rhode Island’s best restaurants
for aspiring vegans.
She even took one for the team and went vegan for (almost) a
week.
Having been raised in an Italo-American household and blessed
to have many great cooks in my life, a plant-based, not to mention

vegan, diet seemed odd to a card-carrying carnivore like me.
Of course, my views changed rapidly when the guy at the gym
roughly my age with the T-shirt that reads “Powered by Plants”
